Wild Prairie Gourds Exhibit & Ancestra Performances

Please join us for a FREE Fall Event at  ERNEST HÜPEDEN’S PAINTED FOREST in Valton in conjunction with the 2021 Hill and Valley Tour! We’ll be featuring an exhibit of Wild Prairie Gourds presented by Connie Anderson, and performances by the women’s a cappella trio, Ancestra on the weekend of 9/25 and 9/26.

Connie Anderson is a Reedsburg-based maker with a broad creative practice that includes painting, drawing, sculpting and cake decorating. For the past 16 years, she’s been working with gourds as a foundational material to create 3-dimensional ornamental objects inspired by nature. Her work with gourds includes carving, drawing, metal inlays, painting, and other embellishments, including found objects. This is Connie’s first public exhibit of her work.
