There are no two ways about it - our volunteers are Reedsburg ArtsLink lifeblood. We recognize that when you volunteer for us, you are sharing your most precious commodity - your time - and we value your contributions. If you share our vision and want to support us as a volunteer, we’re eager to connect with you. Whether you’d like to donate a professional service or help out with a project or event, there are plenty of ways to get involved. We’ll do our best to match you with an opportunity that you’ll enjoy.
Reedikulus Arts Crawl
Each year, we work with roughly 50 volunteers who help plan, organize and host the Reedikulus Arts Crawl the last weekend in July. Depending on your skill set and your availability, we have opportunities ranging from planning small or medium projects to simple day-of-event tasks. If you’d like to volunteer for this year’s Reedikulus Arts Crawl, we’d love to hear from you! Contact Jen at [email protected] for more information.
Second Sundays @The Painted Forest
Each year, ArtsLink partners with Edgewood college to produce Second Sunday’s @ The Painted Forest, a unique and beautiful arts environment in Valton, WI. Second Sundays are free, family-friendly events including docent tours, live music, art-making and science activities and food trucks. Each Second Sunday, we need volunteers to help set up and take down for the day’s events. Some walking and light lifting is involved. We have 2 shifts available, 9:30-11 AM and 2:30-4:00 PM, and 3 volunteers are needed for each shift. Arrive early or stay late to enjoy what the day has to offer. This year's Second Sundays are 11 AM- 3:30 PM on June 10, July 8, August 12, September 9 and October 14. Contact Joann at [email protected] or call 608-393-2795 for more information. In 2015, Reedsburg ArtLink worked with the City of Reedsburg to site a large-scale public art piece in downtown Reedsburg (Ruminant) and build a park around it (Harvest Park).
Click to view project page. The new park includes landscaping that needs spring clean-up, re-mulching and weeding each year. If you enjoy getting your hands in the dirt, this may be a great volunteer opportunity for you! Contact Joann at reedsb[email protected] for more information.
Annual Wild Apple Cider Sale
Once the local wild apples have ripened, usually sometime in September, ArtsLink volunteers gather to hand harvest and press them into cider. We then bottle and sell the cider by the cup during Reedsburg’s annual Fermentation Fest which has drawn over 20,000 visitors.
We need volunteers both to help us harvest the apples and to make the cider and to sell it at our stand during the Fest. This is a wonderful fall activity…and volunteers get some free cider! If you think you might enjoy making--or selling--wild apple cider, this would be a great volunteer opportunity for you! Contact Joann at [email protected] for more information.
